Friends of Project Hope

WHAT IS “Friends of Project Hope”?

  • Purpose:
    • To engage with donors throughout the year, building a group of community members who support our mission to put an end to relationship violence, child abuse and sexual assault in our community.
  • How to Join:
    • Donate $100 each year you want to participate (can be given in a single donation or reoccurring donation throughout the year)
    • Donations can be made by:
      • Check (addressed to Project Hope) mailed to PO BOX 1812 Gunnison 81230
      • Cash
      • Via Colorado Gives (click on the donate link in the sidebar which will take you to our page.  Make sure to put “Friends of Project Hope” in the comments box).  
    • Download our Friends of Project Hope Info Form, complete it an mail it in with your check or email it to director@hope4gv.org
    • What are the Benefits?
      • Will receive a “Friends of Project Hope” button
      • Discounted tickets to fundraising events throughout the year
      • Invitations to donor parties free of charge
      • Automatically entered into drawings throughout the year to win prizes
    • What Do You Do?
      • You can be as involved/engaged as YOU CHOOSE!  We will give you opportunities to support the organization throughout the year beyond a one time donation, it is up to you how you give back.  
        • Wear the Brand.  Wear the name or logo of Project Hope on your hat, shirt or lapel pin. You never know whom you will run into and the conversations that may be sparked by them seeing you wear Project Hope’s name or logo.
        • Invite a Friend. Next time you are planning to volunteer or attend a special event for Project Hope, invite a friend. By engaging them with Project Hope, you have multiplied your involvement and impact. 
        • Share.  Go beyond liking Project Hope’s Facebook page and share posts from the Project Hope’s Facebook page.  Sharing a Facebook post will enable your friends to learn about Project Hope.
        • Tell your family.  At the dinner table or family gatherings, tell your family about your involvement with Project Hope.
        • Raise Money.  Don’t shy away from the opportunity to help raise money for Project Hope to fulfill its mission.  Keep your eyes and ears open for new fundraising opportunities for Project Hope and support the Project Hope’s efforts to raise money.
        • Connect.   Understand the qualifications to receive services from Project Hope so you can connect those in need of services.  You can be the one to help others benefit from the programs and services offered by Project Hope.
        • Advocate.  Share public policy messages with elected officials about issues that impact Project Hope.
        • Spread the Word.  Arrange to have the Executive Director or Advocacy and Prevention Coordinator as a guest speaker for a group you are involved with.  Have them speak on a topic the organization deals with that is of interest to your group. 
        • Volunteer.  Get involved and actively participate in volunteer opportunities with Project Hope.  There will be many opportunities during the year to help out! 
        • Tell a coworker.  Next time you are hanging out at the water cooler, talk with some of your coworkers about your recent involvement and interactions with the Project Hope. Perhaps they never knew of your involvement and were always interested in learning more about Project Hope.

Your support as an ambassador helps Project Hope maximize our reach and increase awareness.  By being an ambassador, you may open new doors for Project Hope to attract program participants, raise funds and recruit volunteers.  Thank you so much for your support!
