HopeFest – October 24th

To support the efforts of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Project Hope will hold our second annual Hopefest at the I-Bar Ranch in Gunnison on October 24th. The Event will start at 11am with food (while it lasts), live music, a pumpkin hunt, costume contest and all kinds of games and prizes for the kids, so bring the whole family!

Do you cook a mean chili?  Do you have what it takes to win a cooking competition?  Enter your amazing Chili into our Chili cook-off and prove your stuff!  To enter, please click on the Chili Entry Form and fill out the information at the top of the sheet.  Forms can be submitted anytime between now and the day of the event (October 24th at 11am). First place receives a prize and certificate honoring your awesomeness.

New this year we will also be holding our first annual 5k walk/run for Hopefest, which starts at 10am Saturday the 24th of October.  To register early please download our HopeFest 5K Registration Form as well as our 5k Waiver and bring with you the day of the event.  Registration begins at 9am at the IBar the day of the race.  The race kicks off at 10am.  The race will consist of 3 heats at varying levels of difficulty.

The Mutt Strut – April 25

Project Hope is excited to announce our April fundraising and awareness event, The Mutt Strut which will take place Saturday April 25 from 12-4pm at the Fred Field Center in Gunnison.

This event will feature a fashion show with categories including best dressed and super pet, sporting events including wackiest pet trick and teacup race, munchin mutt (dog eating contest) and all around top dog.

Proceeds from the event will go to supporting individuals affected by relationship violence and/or sexual assault in the Gunnison Valley.

We are currently looking for donations/sponsors as well as contestants for the event.  If you would like to enter your dog, please download and complete the application form (Release Form) and mail or drop it off at the Project Hope office.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH – OCTOBER 2014

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month.  Join Project Hope, GCSAPP, Gunnison Valley Mentors and the Nurturing Parenting Program as we host our first annual Fall HopeFest on Saturday October 18 from 11-2 at the IBar Ranch in Gunnison.  This event is free to the public with activities for all ages as well as food and education on local non-profits and healthy relationships.
